The Kansas City Ballet Guild is a group of 200 members who serve as advocates for dance and ballet in the Kansas City community. We provide financial assistance to the Kansas City Ballet through the Nutcracker Boutique, the Annual Ball, and other special events.
Kansas City Ballet has always relied upon the generosity of the Guild’s membership and their commitment to the arts in Kansas City.
Membership Levels
- $65 – Guild Member
- $100 – Two Guild Members in a household only
- $165 – Guild Relevé Member
- $300 – Two Relevé Members in a household only
Member level Guild dues make it possible to conduct standard Guild business. Relevé level dues creates opportunities to do some extra special things, especially in support of the company dancers, such as sponsoring their attendance at Guild events and providing them holiday gifts. Please consider the Relevé level option as it will allow us to do even more for our remarkable Kansas City Ballet.
Guild members enjoy special presentations from guest choreographers, musicians, dancers, and the wonderful Kansas City Ballet staff. Presentations include exclusive “behind the scenes” looks at upcoming performances, and access to special pre-performance “open rehearsals.” We meet and socialize with monthly membership meetings, a Kick Off Party, three fabulous annual luncheons (Fall, Nutcracker and Spring Celebration) and at special events such as cast and company appreciation events, book club, and movie nights. We also support and maintain the Kansas City Ballet Archives. And of course, all members are encouraged to be Kansas City Ballet season subscribers and to attend the annual Guild Ballet Ball.

Fundraising
The Guild sponsors two major fundraising events for the Kansas City Ballet each season – an annual Ballet Ball and a Gift Boutique at the Kauffman Center. The Guild raised $470,000 for the Kansas City Ballet in 2022-23.
NUTCRACKER BALL

GUILD GIFT BOUTIQUE
In December each year, the Guild sponsors and staffs the Gift Boutique during Kansas City Ballet’s Nutcracker performance run at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. We sell traditional and whimsical Nutcrackers, ballet and Nutcracker-themed ornaments and other Nutcracker-inspired items. Net proceeds go to the Kansas City Ballet.
2023-2024 Events
The Ballet Guild is planning a full year of fun-filled activities and programs for its members to enjoy. All of our meetings will be at the Todd Bolender Center for Dance & Creativity or a member’s home. Our Book Club and Movie Nights are back in full swing with many great topics to pique your interest.
